Obesity and fast food

This video is from YouTube.
The URL is http://youtu.be/2IUQoh_wuMQ.

This YouTube video is about people who are obese by eating too much fast food.
The data actually shows that when fast food and soft drinks industries started booming, obesity rates have also increased. I think what this video wants to tell us is that people should recognize their real problem and try hard to get better health condition as the “650 pounds” man at the end of this video who hikes for his health and never gives up.

  1. It's sad that soft drink machines and fast food concessions have even found their way into schools in the U.S. Fortunately, there is now a trend to reverse that since so many school children are overweight or obese.

The relationship that Americans have with fast food is different from the relationship that most Japanese people have to it. For many Americans, fast food is part of their daily fare. By variety, they would choose from among McDonald's, Burger King, Wendy's, or Carl Jr.'s; whereas Japanese tend to look at fast food as something to eat only occasionally, rarely, or not at all. When I was a child, fast food was a rare treat...something to have once every few weeks perhaps, but that has changed radically.
